Anna Hazare-The young man who rocked the nation earlier this year, demanding a Jan Lokpal Bill, in a bid to clean the 'gutter' at the highest level is back again.. 74 year old Anna, had gone on an indefinite fast, to demand a Lokpal bill, which brings all government officials including the prime minister under one umbrella, and which would enable any civilian to question the actions of the officials at the highest authority in the government.. Lokpal Bill, is an optimistic first step to end corruption in the country!
The inefficient Government panicked at Anna's 'satyagraha' which became viral throughout the nation and which was gaining increased international media coverage.. Even as the nation united in demand of a transparent system, all the government cared was to somehow suppress the issue and stop Anna. Hence, to end Anna's protest, the government made false promises to pass a strong Lokpal in the next session of the parliament..
Well, Little did the lousy government know that, Anna isn't going anywhere.. Anna's mantra seems to be 'Stop me if you can!' Anna hazare is back at doing what he is best at.. making the government run for their lives.. The Lokpal Bill should have been passed till now, and obviously, it hasn't been yet..! (when have we ever kept our promises)

The government is losing its respect and credibility in the eyes of its people.. A strong Lokpal should be tabled as soon as possible.. Most of us today have not seen Gandhiji, but i guess, Anna Hazare is our Gandhiji of today.. His non-violent antics has rocked the government, and he is fast becoming a nation's chant..
Anna Hazare.. a name perhaps every kid on the street knows today.. It truly is surprising what one man's will can do to an entire nation... Our nation saw the power of the will of one man 65 years back.. today we remember him as M.K.Gandhi.. Following his teachings, this 74 yr old Gandhian, is doing which no one would have ever thought, a second freedom struggle.. freedom from corruption! His calls for transparency..the govt is not bigger than the people.. govt officials including the prime minister should be answerable to the 'aam janta'.. It is in this view that he calls for the passing of the Jan Lokpal Bill. the Lokpal . for those who don't know will be empowered to register and investigate complaints of corruption against politicians and bureaucrats without prior government approval.. It truly would be a memorable sight of the prime minister coming out in public and apologizing for the blunders he has committed.. wouldn't it? Well, i really don't know if the Lokpal would end corruption in India.. But what Anna has done is, he has put a thought, a HOPE in the hearts of our people, that Corruption free India is possible.. It is not just a fairy tale dream.. i for one, have FAITH in this thought.. and i believe in Anna..! and this fight against corruption will go in the history books as a landmark movement and Anna Hazare is going to be remembered as a Legend.....
